Green Circles

This small piece was made with a soft slab of clay, I wanted the visual characteristics of the soft clay to be captured in the final piece. The white marks on the terracotta clay have been made using a simple monoprint technique. The blue glossy glaze around the top edge compliments the terracotta colour perfectly and I like the way the glaze just creeps inside a little to help visually link the inside and outside of this pot.

Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140C
